PituLKBot

If you run a website and see PituLKBot/1.0 in your logs, this is what it does:

• It reads your public listing pages the way a search engine does: the list of ads you publish for search engines (schema.org ItemList), or the title, price and picture shown on each ad card — or a feed you have given us.
• It shows each ad as a small card — title, price, area and your own thumbnail, loaded from your server — that opens the ad on your site. It never copies descriptions, phone numbers or full-size photos.
• It obeys your robots.txt (user-agent PituLKBot, or *), waits several seconds between requests, and reads each page at most once per refresh.
• If your site answers 403 or 429 it stops at once and does not come back for at least 6 hours. It never disguises itself or uses other addresses to get round a block.

To stop it, add User-agent: PituLKBot / Disallow: / to your robots.txt, or email us at support@pitu.lk — we switch your site off and remove its cards the same day.
